Yes. If you search the term "flounder" on the home page you'll find plenty of answers to your question. Been discussed several times and you'll find some great advice.

carolina rig, with 1oz slip weight and flouro leader,Kahle hook(1or2 /0) bull minnow or spanish belly strip right under the pier just walk it slowly from pylon to pylon , then the next and so on with a slight jigging action moving the weight a little then slack so the bait goes back under the pier with the current some
at least that's how I have done it in the past
should have a drop net too, so you can get them up sometimes they will short strike it and not hooked to good for the trip up with out a net
1oz weight and live shrimp
Only thing ur gonna do with a live shrimp during the summer is have some expensive pinfish food. Use bull minnows like ironman said

What does the actual topic have to do with anything these days? Reading and reviewing before posting has become optional for one segment of the membership. ::)
As to OP's question: Besides bull minners, a 3" Gulp Shrimp will mitigate the pin fish problem down to almost zero.
