I have a sled just like Pier#r's and I also have a cart that I built from PVC pipe that has Wheeleez tires on it. The sled is fine as long as you keep it light. The cart is much better for heavier loads and longer distance. I'm looking at building an Aluminum cart out of a harbor fright Cargo Carrier, which is what the motorized cart below is made from. In my opinion, the lighter you can keep the cart it self the better. Another important issue is what the wheels run on, bushings or bearings. In my opinion, sealed bearings make a world of difference when pulling.
Well I got to get me a sled now.sure would make my walks out to katrina cut easier.and not to jack the thread but pier#r have you been to the west beach lately?
I ask bc I was just there last week and the entire beach on the gulf side starting at the parking lot and about 100 yards or so towards the cut has washed away almost all the way to the grass is this normal for that area?
