Its not going to hit us. Everyday it is moved farther west and later in the week. Tomorrow it will be heading for New Orleans and everyone will be freaking out. Then Sunday, it will be moved toward Texas.
Buba, I sure hope you're right. It would make all of us real happy if it went to the east of us and kept the seas from pounding the pier so bad, not to mention keeping our property damage down. All but one of the computer models right now show landfall to the east. I'm still going to dust off my storm shutters.
The further east it goes the better off we'll be.
[size=12pt][font=comic sans ms]Being in the crosshairs now, is far better than being in the crosshairs on Tuesday or Wednesday 8)
Cat 2 or 3??
Havent seen that on any forecast website. NOAA, WeatherUnderground and StormPulse all have it at a mid-level Cat 1 at landfall.
They do all have the forecast track centered on us though. :(
But as others noted, the trend all week has been to push it farther west with every new forecast. We might end up on the worng side of this one, who knows at this point. It will be Monday before we really need to panic. ???
I think I'll go ahead and panic now and get it over with.
For Haywire...

Bubba sez "Brothers and sistaz fear not the 'cone of death', for it will befall others." :yippee:
Yes, instead of hoping it weakens and hurts no one, lets all hope someone else gets the chit pounded out of them. :poke1:
The used to be fat guy on NBC (Al Roker) drew his forecast track at 7am this morning and it looked like he was bringing it in on top of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Let's hope he was wrong. I would much prefer it to go ashore at Tampa Bay about Tuesday. It might be soon time to start making some preparations. Good luck folks, my prayers are with you.
