@ Fin, Thanks for posting a pic of my current cart.
Looks like I am getting alot of competition for my new cart. The new cart is taking longer than expected. The framework is complete and all the suspension parts are finally done. I will probably start on the body next weekend.

Dang bro, where is all the duct tape and bungee cords like the rest of use in construction projects? :3some:
Can’t wait to see the finished product! :headbang:

That work shop is to be envious over.....I am impressed.....mine sure doesn't look like that ;) ....thanks for sharing!!! can't wait to see more :3some:
The shop is not bad but as we all know it could always be better. Just wish I had it at my house in Mobile rather than my parents. That is why it is taking me so long to get the cart finished.

Looks like it is going to be the cadi of pier carts !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got these two gems last weekend and just remembered to post ‘em.
This one belongs to dcmccall86 and he told me the rear where the rod holders are is an old guitar rack with added wheels. The front is an old golf bag cart.

Progress?? What is that? It is coming along slowly. I have finished fiberglassing the body and got it out of the mold. I finished the paint and body work last weekend and got it mounted on the frame. I have started adding all the little things now such as the rod holders but still have a good bit to do. I don't have any pictures of the finished body yet, but I probably won't post them till I get it on the pier. Don't want to spoil anything. As for when it will be done. . . I have no clue maybe by the end or August or beginning of September. I will give some more updates as I reach milestone.
well thanks for keeping me in suspense :violent....can't wait for the finished product though....fiber glassed body??? wow that sound very nice :yippee:....thanks for the update
Dick, considering that you live close to 200 miles away from the workshop, I’d call that progress!
Man, i can't wait to see the final product.
You are quite the craftsman, Dick. :yippee:
I just hope the final product lives up to my expectations (which can be pretty high) as well as all the hype it has gotten.
Bill, you know if I am going to do something I will take it too far. Well this is one of those things. Just hope I don't over do it.
Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. You may create a firestorm of cart envy. Are you going to put a glitter metallic finish on the fiberglass body? That would be way cool.
HAHA, I thought about going all out with the paint job and graphics, but got to thinking about how much abuse it is going to get so I just went with a gloss white. I will probably end up putting a bunch of stickers on it.
Update...we got rid of the plastic bucket....

Speaking of pier carts , I also use my cart on the beach . Does anyone know where Balloon tires can be purchased at a reasonable price ??$135 to $165 seems a little steep for what they are . Why are they so pricey???

I had seen a post(not on here) about making a beach cart with hot wheel tires....find one at a garage sale and your set on the cheap
might have been power wheel toy....yep defiantly a power wheel tires ....heck you might find one out at the trash
I have two beach carts with Wheeleez balloon tires and they are great on the sand, but tend to rock and roll on hard surfaces due to the 3 p.s.i. inflation.
The guy that had this dually cart said it works well in sand. An extra set of regular wheels would be a lot less than the Wheeleez balloons.
