Kill em all!
They taste like chicken!!!
Naw, j/k chicken tastes MUCH better ;-) LOL
Last week I quit counting the numbers of pelicans i saw fly by trailing line or leaders :-(
If there are any dead ones I wunder how many of them gagged on the fish bones they have been fed at the cleaning station.
IMHO it should be VERBOLTEN to purposely feed 'wild' seabirds on the pier!
I saw one with a walmart rig with 2 big corks on it a couple weeks ago, I didn't see who did it, sure do wish I would have, that bird was a gonner, not a whole lot I could do bout it though
When these birds are hooked on light line it is virtually impossible to get them in to remove the hook or rig. A breakoff is inevitible.
If we took away the 'soup line' at the cleaning table, they would tend to stay away from the pier and resume their natural fear of humans.
People who feed pelicans are eventually condemning them to a slow death!
As I was leaving the pier this afternoon, I saw the News 5 truck in the lot, and there was Debbie Williams filming for the evening news, Being a nosey kinda guy, I inquired as to what was news worthy around the pier and she said they were doing a piece on the recent dead pelicans.

These dudes were stationed at the cleaning table this afternoon watching some guy cleaning a Skippy.
I didn't ask.

There was a dead pelican in the Lake or Pond whatever you wanna call it at Buena Vista RV Park today due to Alligator Attack
Well, the jig is up. Now come the conservationists blaming all the ignorant a$$, evil fishermen for encroaching on the pelican's natural habitat.
I caught one at lake shelby with my hands it had a gotcha on it the hook was connected threw the wing to the body so i took it out then it was fine after that
Personally I blame the BP Oil Spill for any and all dead pelicans forever.
